Lawrie and Symington Ltd had its annual show and sale of 3000 Scotch Mule Ewes, Gimmers and Ewe lambs. A busy ring of buyers ensured a buoyant trade throughout with vendors heading home happy. The sale topped at £400 for Blue Texels from Miss E Orr, Wester Walston. With Texel Gimmers to £355 from Telfer, Glendouran; Mules to £340 from Patterson, East Dykes and Mule Ewe Lambs to £250 from Galloway, Lochlyoch.

The champion pen of Gimmers came from Messer Patterson, East Dyke which went on to realize £340 to Harrison, Buckingham; With more than half the gimmers realising £300 or more.

2^nd prize Gimmers – Stewart, Crookboat – £325 to Hendry, Symington Mains.

3^rd prize Gimmers – McClymont, Tinnis – £325 to Armstrong, Dunsyre.

The champion pen of Ewe Lambs came from Mrs. Galloway, Lochlyoch which sold at £250 to Parrish, Hassendean Burn.

2^nd prize Ewe Lambs – Fallows, Cockrig – £200 to Fry, Porterstown.

3^rd prize Ewe Lambs – MaCarthur, Nunnerie – £200 to Fry, Porterstown.

Sale averages –

221 Ewes – £163 (+£19)

1017 Mule Gimmers – £285 (+£28)

661 Texel Gimmers – £259 (+£20)

816 Mule Ewe Lambs – £183 (-£8)

A small but select number of Cheviot Mule Gimmers and Ewe Lambs were very well bid for and more could have been placed. Gimmers sold to £295 from High Parks and Ewes Lambs to £245 from S. Nelson, Spittal.

PLEASE NOTE:
There will be NO sundry section within the sale and we reserve the right not to accept entries which we feel are unfit for the sale.

COMMISSION RATES
• Commission will be charged on all lots at 10% on FIRST £200 of any lot and 5% thereafter (e.g., Sold at £350 = £20+£7.50=£27.50), capped at £350 per lot. Minimum £5 per lot. • All purchases will be subject to a 3% plus VAT buyer's premium on all lots capped at £350 per item sold by auction or by private treaty.

ENTRY FEES
Tractors, Gators, Quads and Vehicle (To be sold online) £10 + VAT per lot DELIVERY OF ITEMS TO SALE YARD All Farm Machinery and Implements must be delivered to our saleyard by 3 pm on the day before the sale with the exception of Tractors, Vehicles and Quad which may arrive no later than 10.00am on the Thursday. Due to ongoing Health and Safety issues, there will be NO unloading facility available on Sale Day with loading permitted only after the conclusion of the sale.

ONLINE FACILITY
Tractor, Telehandlers, Gators, Quads and Vehicles will also be offered for sale through our online facility alongside the live sale via a drive through, any machine which cannot be driven through will be sold in the line with no online facility.

All items are sold as seen and will be conducted under the Lawrie & Symington and IAAS General Conditions of Sale which are available for inspection at our office.
