Rare & Minority Breeds Sale – Friday 4th September 2026

4 September 2026

LAWRIE & SYMINGTON LTD, LANARK AGRICULTURAL CENTRE

FRIDAY 4TH SEPTEMBER 2026

RARE & MINORITY BREEDS SALE

Including Society Shows & Sales of Greyface Dartmoor, Hebridean & Shetland Sheep

A busy ringside of buyers seen most of lots forward finding new homes. From Cattle to Goats to Sheep, there was almost something for everyone and all budgets.

Topping the Sale was Glendoick Maxmius (photographed), a Hebridean Shearling Ram who stood 3rd Prize at the Society Pre-Sale Show and also had been placed Reserve Male Champion at this year’s Royal Highland Show for Euan Dunbar from Errol. Sired by Cottage Farm Nero who had been the top price ram at the York Show and Sale back in 2024, he was out of the homebred dam, Glendoick Kiwi, a daughter of Glendoick Hawk. Selling for 750gns, he joins the Cattlemoss flock with Rory Millar in Saline.
