Lawrie and Symington sold 67 cattle comprising 31 bullocks & heifers, 3 young bulls and 33 cast cows.
Limousin heifer sold to 266p per kilo from Messrs Dickinson, Brockwoodlees farm, Canonbie to Strachan Butchers, Blantyre. Bullocks sold to 242p on three occasions from Messrs Gray, Balqharrage Farm, Lennoxtown to T Bark, Skirling and twice from Messrs Cook, Kinneil Mill, Linlithgow both to Henderson Fine Foods, Hamilton.

Spring Lambs
A good show of lambs for quality although short of numbers saw trade strong throughout. More heavier lambs forward met a fast trade with best quality very dear.
The sale topped at £133 per head for Beltex from Goodfellow, Townfoot and to 257p/kg for Texels from Allen, Craighead.

Cast Ewes
Another excellent show of 2356 cast ewes, rams and hoggs met a fast selling trade especially for the bigger end of the ewes with flesh. Best Blackface still dear although the planer end easier as more around. Sale topped at £163 for Texels from Greyside and to £89 for Blackface from Haspielaw.
