Stirks peaked at £555 for a Limousin bullock from Mayfield. Beef bull calves topped at £395 for a British Blue from Hillhead, with heifers topping at £405 for a Simmental from Gartclush. Dairy bulls topped at £180 for a British Friesian from Cronan.

A smaller show of 2801 prime lambs saw trade sharper on the week especially for lambs in the 44-48kg bracket. More could have been sold to advantage.
The sale topped at £139 per head for Beltex from Messrs Bunting, Bridgestone and to 292p/kg for Beltex from Messrs Steele, Cumberhead.
