On Monday 21st July 2025 Lawrie and Symington Ltd had forward 51 cattle comprising of 14 bullocks and heifers and 37 cast cows.

Limousin heifers sold to £2948 from Messrs Dickinson, Brockwoodlees Farm, Canonbie or to 448p/kg from the same home.

Charolais Cross bullocks sold to £2104 from Messrs Stoddart, Auchencorth Farm, Penicuik or to 368p/kg from the same home.

Beef cows sold to £2490 per head from Messrs W & G Coulter, East Hyndshawland Farm, Elsrickle or to 324.8p/kg from Messrs A Mitchell & Co, Newton of Wiston Farm, Wiston.

Dairy cows sold to £1890 per head from Broadfield Farming or to 270.7p/kg from the same home.

Cast bulls sold to £2790 per head from Mitchell Farms, Hazelside Farm, Lanark or to 220p/kg from the same home.

On Monday 21st July Lawrie and Symington Ltd sold 1407 Lambs and 1525 Cast Ewes through Lanark.

Lambs

A similar show of 1407 prime lambs were forward with trade easier on the week but still some 40pp/kg above same week last year. Best fleshed lambs still a premium.

The sale topped at £200 twice per head for texels from Preacher, Elliebank Farm and for Beltex from Anderson Oldwalls Farm. 413p/pk for Beltex from Anderson, Oldwalls Farm.

There will be NO sundry section within the sale and we reserve the right not to accept entries which we feel are unfit for the sale.

COMMISSION RATES
• Commission will be charged on all lots at 10% on FIRST £200 of any lot and 5% thereafter (e.g., Sold at £350 = £20+£7.50=£27.50), capped at £350 per lot. Minimum £5 per lot. • All purchases will be subject to a 3% plus VAT buyer's premium on all lots capped at £350 per item sold by auction or by private treaty.

ENTRY FEES
Tractors, Gators, Quads and Vehicle (To be sold online) £10 + VAT per lot DELIVERY OF ITEMS TO SALE YARD All Farm Machinery and Implements must be delivered to our saleyard by 3 pm on the day before the sale with the exception of Tractors, Vehicles and Quad which may arrive no later than 10.00am on the Thursday. Due to ongoing Health and Safety issues, there will be NO unloading facility available on Sale Day with loading permitted only after the conclusion of the sale.

ONLINE FACILITY
Tractor, Telehandlers, Gators, Quads and Vehicles will also be offered for sale through our online facility alongside the live sale via a drive through, any machine which cannot be driven through will be sold in the line with no online facility.

All items are sold as seen and will be conducted under the Lawrie & Symington and IAAS General Conditions of Sale which are available for inspection at our office.
