On Monday 8th May 2023 Lawrie and Symington Ltd sold 2558 Hoggs and 1036 Cast Ewes and Rams through Lanark.
Another decent show of 2558 prime hoggs saw a two tier trade with good flesh and heavy weight hoggs easily sold to high rates. Leaner plainer types were a little harder to cash.
The sale topped at £171 per head for a Beltex from Messrs A MacLarty, Crawfordjohn Mill and to 332p/kg for Beltex from Messrs Frame, Cronan
