Lawrie & Symington Ltd
Lanark Agricultural Centre
Thursday 25th July
Lawrie and Symington Ltd held their resuming sale of poultry after the 4-year bird flu lockdown. Numbers forward were tight and well short of buyer demand. A bumper trade ensued with record prices and a 98% clearance rate achieved. Many more birds could have been sold to vendor’s advantage. Topping the sale were 4 Brecon Buff Geese from Messrs TF Padkin & Son, Muirhouse Farm reaching a staggering £280.
