Lawrie and Symington Ltd had forward 88 cattle comprising of 22 bullocks and heifers, 26 cast cows and 48 calves.

Calves and Stirks

A good show of 48 tremendous calves were forward for Today’s sale with no let up on price. Topping the sale at £900 was a British Blue cross heifer calf from Marshall, Haggs Farm and also for a Limousin cross bull calf from Taylor Heatheryhall Farm. On milk calves topped at £900 for the same calf from Heatheryhall Farm.

A smaller show of store cattle forward for our fortnightly sale. Achieving top price today was a single Aberdeen Angus X Heifer from Fleming, Craigthorn Farm achieving £1780. Top PPH was awarded to a single Simmental X Bullock from Wyllie, High Millrig Farm reaching 466pph.

Lawrie and Symington Ltd sold 645 Lambs, 214 Hoggs and 881 Cast Ewes through Lanark.

Lambs

Another good show of 645 new season lambs saw trade a little steadier apart from 48kg plus lambs which continue to achieve extreme rates. Lighter lambs 35-38kg selling to £150-£170, why hold on?

The sale topped at £254 per head for Suffolk Cross from Wight, Carwood Farm and to 487p/kg for Beltex from Purdon, Brownsbank Farm.

There will be NO sundry section within the sale and we reserve the right not to accept entries which we feel are unfit for the sale.

COMMISSION RATES
• Commission will be charged on all lots at 10% on FIRST £200 of any lot and 5% thereafter (e.g., Sold at £350 = £20+£7.50=£27.50), capped at £350 per lot. Minimum £5 per lot. • All purchases will be subject to a 3% plus VAT buyer's premium on all lots capped at £350 per item sold by auction or by private treaty.

ENTRY FEES
Tractors, Gators, Quads and Vehicle (To be sold online) £10 + VAT per lot DELIVERY OF ITEMS TO SALE YARD All Farm Machinery and Implements must be delivered to our saleyard by 3 pm on the day before the sale with the exception of Tractors, Vehicles and Quad which may arrive no later than 10.00am on the Thursday. Due to ongoing Health and Safety issues, there will be NO unloading facility available on Sale Day with loading permitted only after the conclusion of the sale.

ONLINE FACILITY
Tractor, Telehandlers, Gators, Quads and Vehicles will also be offered for sale through our online facility alongside the live sale via a drive through, any machine which cannot be driven through will be sold in the line with no online facility.

All items are sold as seen and will be conducted under the Lawrie & Symington and IAAS General Conditions of Sale which are available for inspection at our office.
