Lawrie and Symington Ltd had forward 153 cattle comprising of 50 bullocks and heifers, 35 cast cows and 68 Calves.

68 calves were forward for the last calf sale in March. Topping the sale was a British Blue bull calf from Kingsbeck Ltd, Culter Allers Farm achieving £1260.

On milk calves topped at £600 for an Aberdeen Angus cross heifer from Struthers, Auchmeddan Farm.

Lawrie and Symington sold 2417 Hoggs, 88 Store Sheep and 625 Cast Ewes through Lanark.

Hoggs

A much smaller show of 2417 prime hoggs were forward with more Blackface and plainer end hoggs forward. Good quality, well fleshed hoggs were short of buyers requirements and many more could have been sold. Best hoggs still regularly over the 400p mark.

The sale topped at £244 per head for Beltex from Taylor, Heatheryhall Farm and to 533p/kg for Beltex from the same home.

There will be NO sundry section within the sale and we reserve the right not to accept entries which we feel are unfit for the sale.

COMMISSION RATES
• Commission will be charged on all lots at 10% on FIRST £200 of any lot and 5% thereafter (e.g., Sold at £350 = £20+£7.50=£27.50), capped at £350 per lot. Minimum £5 per lot. • All purchases will be subject to a 3% plus VAT buyer's premium on all lots capped at £350 per item sold by auction or by private treaty.

ENTRY FEES
Tractors, Gators, Quads and Vehicle (To be sold online) £10 + VAT per lot DELIVERY OF ITEMS TO SALE YARD All Farm Machinery and Implements must be delivered to our saleyard by 3 pm on the day before the sale with the exception of Tractors, Vehicles and Quad which may arrive no later than 10.00am on the Thursday. Due to ongoing Health and Safety issues, there will be NO unloading facility available on Sale Day with loading permitted only after the conclusion of the sale.

ONLINE FACILITY
Tractor, Telehandlers, Gators, Quads and Vehicles will also be offered for sale through our online facility alongside the live sale via a drive through, any machine which cannot be driven through will be sold in the line with no online facility.

All items are sold as seen and will be conducted under the Lawrie & Symington and IAAS General Conditions of Sale which are available for inspection at our office.
