Lawrie and Symington Ltd had forward 70 cattle comprising of 20 bullocks and heifers, 45 cast cows and 7 dairy cattle.

Dairy Cattle

At our monthly dairy sale, we had 5 cattle forward. Cattle were in high demand, more could have been sold to the sellers advantage.

Lawrie and Symington sold 1987 Hoggs, 973 Cast Ewes and 102 Store Hoggs.

Store hoggs sold to £118 & £110 for Cheviots from Greyside Farm.

Hoggs

The 1987 prime hoggs were a good show for flesh but also a lot of weight forward. The best export and lightweight hoggs were in serious demand and met a fast-selling trade. Plainer sorts meeting realisation.

The sale topped at £230 per head for Beltex from Hodge, Dykes Farm and to 517p/kg for Beltex from Cunningham, Walkerdyke Farm. Overall average 380p/kg (SQQ 397p).

PLEASE NOTE:
There will be NO sundry section within the sale and we reserve the right not to accept entries which we feel are unfit for the sale.

COMMISSION RATES
• Commission will be charged on all lots at 10% on FIRST £200 of any lot and 5% thereafter (e.g., Sold at £350 = £20+£7.50=£27.50), capped at £350 per lot. Minimum £5 per lot. • All purchases will be subject to a 3% plus VAT buyer's premium on all lots capped at £350 per item sold by auction or by private treaty.

ENTRY FEES
Tractors, Gators, Quads and Vehicle (To be sold online) £10 + VAT per lot DELIVERY OF ITEMS TO SALE YARD All Farm Machinery and Implements must be delivered to our saleyard by 3 pm on the day before the sale with the exception of Tractors, Vehicles and Quad which may arrive no later than 10.00am on the Thursday. Due to ongoing Health and Safety issues, there will be NO unloading facility available on Sale Day with loading permitted only after the conclusion of the sale.

ONLINE FACILITY
Tractor, Telehandlers, Gators, Quads and Vehicles will also be offered for sale through our online facility alongside the live sale via a drive through, any machine which cannot be driven through will be sold in the line with no online facility.

All items are sold as seen and will be conducted under the Lawrie & Symington and IAAS General Conditions of Sale which are available for inspection at our office.
