Sheep prime stock report

On Monday 11th March 2024 Lawrie and Symington Ltd sold 1478 Cast Ewes and 4259 Hoggs through Lanark, as well as 346 Store Hoggs.

A much larger show of 4259 including 1449 Black Face prime hoggs have an excellent run for quality and again met the dearest average seen in Lanark so far.

The sale topped at a centre record for a hogg, £278 per head for a Texel from Messrs TA & R Laird, Cabmwell Farm, Biggar and to 465p/pk for Beltex from Messrs G Clark, Wellheads Farm, Livingston

COMMISSION RATES
• Commission will be charged on all lots at 10% on FIRST £200 of any lot and 5% thereafter (e.g., Sold at £350 = £20+£7.50=£27.50), capped at £350 per lot. Minimum £5 per lot. • All purchases will be subject to a 3% plus VAT buyer's premium on all lots capped at £350 per item sold by auction or by private treaty.

ENTRY FEES
Tractors, Gators, Quads and Vehicle (To be sold online) £10 + VAT per lot DELIVERY OF ITEMS TO SALE YARD All Farm Machinery and Implements must be delivered to our saleyard by 3 pm on the day before the sale with the exception of Tractors, Vehicles and Quad which may arrive no later than 10.00am on the Thursday. Due to ongoing Health and Safety issues, there will be NO unloading facility available on Sale Day with loading permitted only after the conclusion of the sale.

ONLINE FACILITY
Tractor, Telehandlers, Gators, Quads and Vehicles will also be offered for sale through our online facility alongside the live sale via a drive through, any machine which cannot be driven through will be sold in the line with no online facility.

All items are sold as seen and will be conducted under the Lawrie & Symington and IAAS General Conditions of Sale which are available for inspection at our office.
