On Monday 14th August 2023 Lawrie and Symington Ltd had forward 135 cattle comprising of 44 bullocks and heifers, 70 cast cows and 21 calves and stirks.

Lim heifers sold to 336p/pk from Messrs Dickinson, Brockwoodlees Farm, Canonbie to Mitchell Butchers, Glenrothes or to £2146 from Messrs Dickinson, Brockwoodlees Farm, Canonbie to Chapman Butchers, Wishaw.

Lim bullocks sold to 305p/pk from Messrs Gray, Balquharrage Farm, Lennoxtown to W Stark, Twechar or to £1875 from the same home.

Lambs

A much larger show of 3173 prime lambs forward were an excellent show for quality. Best types and heavies sold at recent rates, others slightly easier.

The sale topped at £170 per head for Texels from Messrs Struthers, Collielaw Farm, Carluke and Messrs Cullen, Craighead Farm, Carluke and to 329p/kg for Beltex from Messrs Struthers, Collielaw Farm, Carluke and Ingraston Farm.

Another large show of 2343 Cast ewes and rams were a great show for quality and a fast trade from start to finish. Best quality ewes very dear as were heavy fat ewes.

There will be NO sundry section within the sale and we reserve the right not to accept entries which we feel are unfit for the sale.

COMMISSION RATES
• Commission will be charged on all lots at 10% on FIRST £200 of any lot and 5% thereafter (e.g., Sold at £350 = £20+£7.50=£27.50), capped at £350 per lot. Minimum £5 per lot. • All purchases will be subject to a 3% plus VAT buyer's premium on all lots capped at £350 per item sold by auction or by private treaty.

ENTRY FEES
Tractors, Gators, Quads and Vehicle (To be sold online) £10 + VAT per lot DELIVERY OF ITEMS TO SALE YARD All Farm Machinery and Implements must be delivered to our saleyard by 3 pm on the day before the sale with the exception of Tractors, Vehicles and Quad which may arrive no later than 10.00am on the Thursday. Due to ongoing Health and Safety issues, there will be NO unloading facility available on Sale Day with loading permitted only after the conclusion of the sale.

ONLINE FACILITY
Tractor, Telehandlers, Gators, Quads and Vehicles will also be offered for sale through our online facility alongside the live sale via a drive through, any machine which cannot be driven through will be sold in the line with no online facility.

All items are sold as seen and will be conducted under the Lawrie & Symington and IAAS General Conditions of Sale which are available for inspection at our office.
