On Monday the 20th November 2023 Lawrie and Symington Ltd had forward 222 cattle comprising of 53 bullocks and heifers, 105 cast cows and 64 calves and stirk.

Lim heifers sold to 360p/kg twice from Messrs Dickinson, Brockwoodlees Farm, Canonbie to S Collins, Butchers, Law and J Cairns Butchers, Law or to £2271 from Messrs Taylor, Heatheryhall Farm, Lanark to H Black Butchers, Lanark.

Lim bullocks sold to 322p/pk from Messrs Warnock, Hill Farm, Strathaven to Chapman Butchers, Wishaw or to £2163 to Chapman Butchers, Wishaw.

Beef cows sold to £1750 per head from Messrs Struthers, Moatmains Farm, lesmahagoe or to 253p/kg from Messrs Wilkins, Wester Whitecastle Farm, Biggar.

On Monday the 20th November 2023 Lawrie and Symington Ltd sold 4505 Lambs and 2073 Cast Ewes and Rams through Lanark.

Lambs

Another large show of 4505 prime lambs were a very good show for quality and met a fast selling trade. Best kinds in strong demand a more could be sold to advantage.

The sale topped at £160 per head for Texels from Messrs WM Leggate, Silverrig Farm, Chapelton and to 332p/kg for Beltex from Mssers W Steel & Co, Cumberhead Farm, Lesmahagow.

There will be NO sundry section within the sale and we reserve the right not to accept entries which we feel are unfit for the sale.

COMMISSION RATES
• Commission will be charged on all lots at 10% on FIRST £200 of any lot and 5% thereafter (e.g., Sold at £350 = £20+£7.50=£27.50), capped at £350 per lot. Minimum £5 per lot. • All purchases will be subject to a 3% plus VAT buyer's premium on all lots capped at £350 per item sold by auction or by private treaty.

ENTRY FEES
Tractors, Gators, Quads and Vehicle (To be sold online) £10 + VAT per lot DELIVERY OF ITEMS TO SALE YARD All Farm Machinery and Implements must be delivered to our saleyard by 3 pm on the day before the sale with the exception of Tractors, Vehicles and Quad which may arrive no later than 10.00am on the Thursday. Due to ongoing Health and Safety issues, there will be NO unloading facility available on Sale Day with loading permitted only after the conclusion of the sale.

ONLINE FACILITY
Tractor, Telehandlers, Gators, Quads and Vehicles will also be offered for sale through our online facility alongside the live sale via a drive through, any machine which cannot be driven through will be sold in the line with no online facility.

All items are sold as seen and will be conducted under the Lawrie & Symington and IAAS General Conditions of Sale which are available for inspection at our office.
