On Monday 21st August 2023 Lawrie and Symington Ltd had forward 118 cattle comprising 0f 50 bullocks and heifers, 68 cast cows.

Limousin heifers sold to 348p/pk from Messrs Dickinson, Brockwoodlees Farm, Canonbie to Strachan Butchers, Larkhall or to £2224 from Messrs Brown, Gaindykehead Farm, Airdrie to H Black Butchers Lanark.

Limousin bullocks sold to 306p/pk from Messrs Allison, Muirburn Farm, Biggar to W Stark, Twechar or to £1830 from the same home.

Beef cows sold to £1850 per head from Messrs Kerr, Newbigging Mill Farm, Carnwath or to 229p/pk from Messrs Hamilton, Kilwhipnach Farm, Campbeltown.

On Monday 21st August 2023 Lawrie and Symington Ltd sold 4177 Lambs and 2097 Cast Ewes and Hoggs through Lanark.

Lambs

The largest show of the year so far with 4177 prime lambs forward. Best quality still sold well and weight came to most money. Far more BF and Mule lambs forward.

The sale topped at £160 per head for Texels from Messrs Struthers, Collielaw, Carluke and to 312p/kg for Texels from Messrs Cullen, Craighead, Carluke and Beltex from Messrs Barrie, Auchenhard, West Calder.

Another 2097 cast ewes and rams were forward with trade slightly easier on week especially the leaner, plainer end. Best quality ewes and heavy fat easily sold.

There will be NO sundry section within the sale and we reserve the right not to accept entries which we feel are unfit for the sale.

COMMISSION RATES
• Commission will be charged on all lots at 10% on FIRST £200 of any lot and 5% thereafter (e.g., Sold at £350 = £20+£7.50=£27.50), capped at £350 per lot. Minimum £5 per lot. • All purchases will be subject to a 3% plus VAT buyer's premium on all lots capped at £350 per item sold by auction or by private treaty.

ENTRY FEES
Tractors, Gators, Quads and Vehicle (To be sold online) £10 + VAT per lot DELIVERY OF ITEMS TO SALE YARD All Farm Machinery and Implements must be delivered to our saleyard by 3 pm on the day before the sale with the exception of Tractors, Vehicles and Quad which may arrive no later than 10.00am on the Thursday. Due to ongoing Health and Safety issues, there will be NO unloading facility available on Sale Day with loading permitted only after the conclusion of the sale.

ONLINE FACILITY
Tractor, Telehandlers, Gators, Quads and Vehicles will also be offered for sale through our online facility alongside the live sale via a drive through, any machine which cannot be driven through will be sold in the line with no online facility.

All items are sold as seen and will be conducted under the Lawrie & Symington and IAAS General Conditions of Sale which are available for inspection at our office.
