On Monday the 22nd April Lawrie and Symington Ltd had forward 110 cattle comprising of 30 bullock and heifers and 80 cast cows.

Limousin heifers sold to 342p/pk from Brockwoodlees Farm, Canonbie to Mitchel Butchers, Glenrothes.

Or to £2189 from Brockwoodlees Farm, Canonbie to Hugh Black Butchers Lanark.

On Monday the 22nd April Lawrie and Symington Ltd sold 2193 Hoggs, 1058 cast ewes and 435 store hoggs through Lanark.

Hoggs

A very mixed show of hoggs saw a big variance in trade with the best flesh hoggs 44.48kg easiest to sell. Smaller leaner hoggs were cheaper, with the bigger hoggs harder to sell.

The sale topped at £247 per head for a Texel from Messrs Gibson, Cowgrove Farm, Galston and to 458p/pk for Beltex from Messrs Laird, Yeldabrek Farm, Burray.

A larger show of 1058 cast ewes and rams saw trade remain strong in all classes with more smaller hill type ewes on show. More could be sold to advantage.

The sale topped at £295 per head for Texel from Messrs Campbell, Strawfrank Farm, Carstairs Junction and to £140 for Blackface from Braeedge Farming, Shotts.

There will be NO sundry section within the sale and we reserve the right not to accept entries which we feel are unfit for the sale.

COMMISSION RATES
• Commission will be charged on all lots at 10% on FIRST £200 of any lot and 5% thereafter (e.g., Sold at £350 = £20+£7.50=£27.50), capped at £350 per lot. Minimum £5 per lot. • All purchases will be subject to a 3% plus VAT buyer's premium on all lots capped at £350 per item sold by auction or by private treaty.

ENTRY FEES
Tractors, Gators, Quads and Vehicle (To be sold online) £10 + VAT per lot DELIVERY OF ITEMS TO SALE YARD All Farm Machinery and Implements must be delivered to our saleyard by 3 pm on the day before the sale with the exception of Tractors, Vehicles and Quad which may arrive no later than 10.00am on the Thursday. Due to ongoing Health and Safety issues, there will be NO unloading facility available on Sale Day with loading permitted only after the conclusion of the sale.

ONLINE FACILITY
Tractor, Telehandlers, Gators, Quads and Vehicles will also be offered for sale through our online facility alongside the live sale via a drive through, any machine which cannot be driven through will be sold in the line with no online facility.

All items are sold as seen and will be conducted under the Lawrie & Symington and IAAS General Conditions of Sale which are available for inspection at our office.
