On Monday 28th August 2023 Lawrie and Symington Ltd had forward 188 cattle comprising of 51 bullocks and heifers, 72 cast cows and 65 calves and stirks.

Lim heifers sold to 342p/pk from Messrs Dickinson, Brockwoodlees Farm, Canonbie to S Collins Butchers, Muirhead or to £2184 from Messrs Wainwright, Todhall Farm, Cupar to Hastie Butchers, Markinch.

Lim bullocks sold to 328p/pk from Messrs Gray, Balquharrace Farm, Lennoxtown to W Stark, Twechar or to £1878 from Messrs Cunningham, Walkerdyke Farm, Strathaven to Chapman Butchers, Wishaw.

On Monday 28th August 2023 Lawrie and Symington Ltd sold 3252 Lambs and 2000 Cast Ewes and Rams through Lanark.

Lambs

A smaller show of 3252 prime lambs met a good trade, stronger than end of week especially the heavy lambs. More could have been sold with average up 24p on year.

The sale topped at £168 per head for Texels from Messrs Clark, North Garngour Farm, Lesmahagow and to 329p/kg for Beltex from Messrs Hammond, Auchenbart Farm, Darvel

Another 2000 cast ewes and rams were slightly harder to cash except for the heaviest and best, leaner ewes less money with mixed show for quality forward.

There will be NO sundry section within the sale and we reserve the right not to accept entries which we feel are unfit for the sale.

COMMISSION RATES
• Commission will be charged on all lots at 10% on FIRST £200 of any lot and 5% thereafter (e.g., Sold at £350 = £20+£7.50=£27.50), capped at £350 per lot. Minimum £5 per lot. • All purchases will be subject to a 3% plus VAT buyer's premium on all lots capped at £350 per item sold by auction or by private treaty.

ENTRY FEES
Tractors, Gators, Quads and Vehicle (To be sold online) £10 + VAT per lot DELIVERY OF ITEMS TO SALE YARD All Farm Machinery and Implements must be delivered to our saleyard by 3 pm on the day before the sale with the exception of Tractors, Vehicles and Quad which may arrive no later than 10.00am on the Thursday. Due to ongoing Health and Safety issues, there will be NO unloading facility available on Sale Day with loading permitted only after the conclusion of the sale.

ONLINE FACILITY
Tractor, Telehandlers, Gators, Quads and Vehicles will also be offered for sale through our online facility alongside the live sale via a drive through, any machine which cannot be driven through will be sold in the line with no online facility.

All items are sold as seen and will be conducted under the Lawrie & Symington and IAAS General Conditions of Sale which are available for inspection at our office.
