Limousin heifers sold to 350p/kg from Messrs DM Dickinson, Brockwoodlees Farm, Canonbie to Cairns Butchers, Law or to £1925 from Messrs DM Dickinson, Brockwoodlees Farm, Canonbie to Cairns Butchers, Law.

Limousin bullocks sold to 316p/kg from Messrs D & E Lochart, Fauldingcleugh Farm, Lockerbie to Hewitt Farming, Carlindean or to £1858 for a British Blue from Messrs D & E Lochart, Fauldingcleugh Farm, Lockerbie to Bowland Foods, Preston.

On Monday 8th January 2024 Lawrie and Symington Ltd sold 3007 Hoggs and 972 Cast Ewes and Rams through Lanark.

Hoggs

The busiest ring of prime sheep byers in Scotland (10) saw a similar show of hoggs with trade in line with end of week. Heavy hoggs short of requirements, more light hoggs forward and easy to sell. More required each week.

The sale topped at £167 per head for Suffolk x from Messrs T & R Harper, Southmains Farm, Biggar and to 320p/kg for Beltex from Messrs A Taylor, Heatheryhall Farm, Lanark and Texels from Messrs R & M Struthers, Collielaw Farm, Carluke.

There will be NO sundry section within the sale and we reserve the right not to accept entries which we feel are unfit for the sale.

COMMISSION RATES
• Commission will be charged on all lots at 10% on FIRST £200 of any lot and 5% thereafter (e.g., Sold at £350 = £20+£7.50=£27.50), capped at £350 per lot. Minimum £5 per lot. • All purchases will be subject to a 3% plus VAT buyer's premium on all lots capped at £350 per item sold by auction or by private treaty.

ENTRY FEES
Tractors, Gators, Quads and Vehicle (To be sold online) £10 + VAT per lot DELIVERY OF ITEMS TO SALE YARD All Farm Machinery and Implements must be delivered to our saleyard by 3 pm on the day before the sale with the exception of Tractors, Vehicles and Quad which may arrive no later than 10.00am on the Thursday. Due to ongoing Health and Safety issues, there will be NO unloading facility available on Sale Day with loading permitted only after the conclusion of the sale.

ONLINE FACILITY
Tractor, Telehandlers, Gators, Quads and Vehicles will also be offered for sale through our online facility alongside the live sale via a drive through, any machine which cannot be driven through will be sold in the line with no online facility.

All items are sold as seen and will be conducted under the Lawrie & Symington and IAAS General Conditions of Sale which are available for inspection at our office.
