Sheep prime stock report
On Wednesday 27th December 2023 Lawrie and Symington Ltd sold 3524 Lambs and 1673 Cast Ewes and Rams through Lanark.
Lambs
A good show of 3524 Prime Lambs saw a fast selling trade throughout with heavy lambs realizing high levels and more sheep could have been sold to advantage. Please note we will be on Wednesday again next week (3rd January 2024)
The sale topped at £180 per head for Texels from Messrs J Brown, Cardon Farm, Broughton and to 346p/kg for Beltex from Mr A Baillie, Broomfield Lodge, Larkhall.
