Lawrie and Symington Ltd had forward 90 cattle comprising of 45 bullocks and heifers and 45 cast cows.

Charolais heifers sold to £3051 from Brockwoodlees Farm, Canonbie to Henderson Fine Foods, or to 452p/pk from Brockwoodlees Farm, Canonbie to Mitchell Butchers.

British Blue bullocks sold to £2472 from Mid Shawtonhill Farm to Black Butchers, Lanark or to 422p/pk from Muirburn Farm, Biggar to MJ Stark Wholesalers, Paisley.

Beef Cows sold to £2370 per head from Mafflat Farm, Quarter or to 286p/pk from Newbigging Mill, Carnwath. Dairy Cows sold to £2110 per head from Ormiston Mains, Kirknewton or to 273 p/pk from Over Dalserf Farm, Larkhall.

Young Bulls sold to £2658 per head from Feoch Farm, Darvel or to 350 p/pk from East Merkland Farm, Strathaven.

On Monday 29th September Lawrie and Symington Ltd sold 2859 Hoggs and 2010 Cast Ewes through Lanark.

Lambs

A smaller show for numbers but better for flesh was forward. Again, a lot of weight on offer realisinig good pounds per head. Best export types heavily bid for.

The sale topped at £187 per head for Suffolks from Wight, Carwood Farm and to 362p/kg for Beltex from Baillie, Broomfield Lodge Farm.

There will be NO sundry section within the sale and we reserve the right not to accept entries which we feel are unfit for the sale.

COMMISSION RATES
• Commission will be charged on all lots at 10% on FIRST £200 of any lot and 5% thereafter (e.g., Sold at £350 = £20+£7.50=£27.50), capped at £350 per lot. Minimum £5 per lot. • All purchases will be subject to a 3% plus VAT buyer's premium on all lots capped at £350 per item sold by auction or by private treaty.

ENTRY FEES
Tractors, Gators, Quads and Vehicle (To be sold online) £10 + VAT per lot DELIVERY OF ITEMS TO SALE YARD All Farm Machinery and Implements must be delivered to our saleyard by 3 pm on the day before the sale with the exception of Tractors, Vehicles and Quad which may arrive no later than 10.00am on the Thursday. Due to ongoing Health and Safety issues, there will be NO unloading facility available on Sale Day with loading permitted only after the conclusion of the sale.

ONLINE FACILITY
Tractor, Telehandlers, Gators, Quads and Vehicles will also be offered for sale through our online facility alongside the live sale via a drive through, any machine which cannot be driven through will be sold in the line with no online facility.

All items are sold as seen and will be conducted under the Lawrie & Symington and IAAS General Conditions of Sale which are available for inspection at our office.
