26 heifers sold to 327p/pk from Messrs Dickinson, Brockwoodlees Farm, Canonbie to S Collins Butchers or to £2041 from Messrs Dickinson, Brockwoodlees Farm, Canonbie to H Black Butchers, Lanark.

6 bullocks sold to 303p/pk from Messrs Baillie, Calla Farm, Carnwath to Elliot Butchers, Lanark or to £1908 from Messrs Brown, Gaindykehead Farm, Airdrie to Yorkes of Dundee.

Sheep prime stock report

On Monday 3rd July 2023 Lawrie and Symington Ltd sold 924 Lambs, 244 Hoggs and 698 Cast Ewes and Rams through Lanark. Please note as of next week, 10th July 23, all old season hoggs shall be sold amongst the cast ewes.

Lambs

A larger show of 924 prime lambs were a fine show for quality and bucked the trend of the end of week averages by firming up to be similar as last! Many more needed each week.

The sale topped at £166 per head for Beltex from Messrs Cruickshank, Little Kype Farm, Strathaven and to 359p/kg for Texels from Messrs Renwick, Craig Douglas Farm, Selkirk.

Cast Ewes

The 698 cast ewes were a fair bit sharper on the week and short of buyers requirements. Blackface and Cheviot ewes especially dear and more could have been sold to advantage.

The sale topped at £268 per head for Texels from Messrs J Dunlop, An-Glasach, Biggar and to £102 for Blackface from Messrs McClymont, Tinnis Farm, Selkirk.

There will be NO sundry section within the sale and we reserve the right not to accept entries which we feel are unfit for the sale.

COMMISSION RATES
• Commission will be charged on all lots at 10% on FIRST £200 of any lot and 5% thereafter (e.g., Sold at £350 = £20+£7.50=£27.50), capped at £350 per lot. Minimum £5 per lot. • All purchases will be subject to a 3% plus VAT buyer's premium on all lots capped at £350 per item sold by auction or by private treaty.

ENTRY FEES
Tractors, Gators, Quads and Vehicle (To be sold online) £10 + VAT per lot DELIVERY OF ITEMS TO SALE YARD All Farm Machinery and Implements must be delivered to our saleyard by 3 pm on the day before the sale with the exception of Tractors, Vehicles and Quad which may arrive no later than 10.00am on the Thursday. Due to ongoing Health and Safety issues, there will be NO unloading facility available on Sale Day with loading permitted only after the conclusion of the sale.

ONLINE FACILITY
Tractor, Telehandlers, Gators, Quads and Vehicles will also be offered for sale through our online facility alongside the live sale via a drive through, any machine which cannot be driven through will be sold in the line with no online facility.

All items are sold as seen and will be conducted under the Lawrie & Symington and IAAS General Conditions of Sale which are available for inspection at our office.
