On Monday 17th February Lawrie and Symington Ltd had forward 143 cattle comprising of 30 bullocks and heifers, 65 cast cows and 48 calves and stirks.
Limousin heifers sold to 425p/pk twice from Brockwoodlees Farm to Black Butchers and Mitchel Butchers or to £2689 from Brockwoodlees Farm to Black Butchers.
Limousin bullocks sold to 405p/pk twice. Firstly from Hill Farm (Strathaven) to Black Butchers and then from Balquharrage Farm to Finlay Wholesale, or to £2997 from Hill Farm (Strathaven) to Black Butchers.
Beef cows sold to £2470 per head from Buteland Farm or to 296p/pk from the same home.
Dairy cows sold to £1590 per head from Craigthornhill Farm or to 208p/pk from the same home.
Cast bulls sold to £2270 per head from Haswellsykes Farm or to 238p/pk from the same home.
Young bulls sold to £2581 per head from Calla Farm or to 308p/pk from the same home.

On Monday 17th February Lawrie and Symington Ltd held their fortnightly calf and stirk sale with 54 Quality calves forward for an unforgettable days trading!
An exceptional British Blue x heifer calf soared to £890 form the Pirie Family of Machrihanish Farm.
On milk calves reached a high of £560 for a British Blue bull calf from Adamson, Swaites Farm.

On Monday 17th February Lawrie and Symington Ltd sold 3145 Hoggs, 1302 Cast Ewes and 258 Store Hoggs through Lanark.
Hoggs
A larger show of 3145 prime hoggs saw trade firm as the sale went on. Export and light weights easiest to sell although heavy weights still coming to good pounds per head. More could be sold each week.
The sale topped at £206 per head for Texels from North Garngour Farm and to 387p/pk for Beltex from Easter Clevage Farm.
