On Monday 7^th October Lawrie and Symington Ltd had forward 125 cattle comprising of 40 bullocks and heifers and 85 cast cows.

Limousin heifers sold to 355p/pk from Hill Farm, Strathaven to Black Butchers, or to £2210 from Brockwoodlees Farm to Black Butchers.

Limousin bullocks sold 298p/pk from Hill Farm, Strathaven to Chapman Butchers or to £2354 from the same home to Chapman Butchers.

Beef cows sold to £1970 per head from Hill of Kilncadzow Farm or to 253p/pk from Collielaw Farm.

Dairy cows sold to £1330 per head from Kirklands Farm or to 177p/pk from Cromlet Farm.

Cast bulls sold to £2370 per head from Kingside Farm or to 216p/pk from the same home.

On Monday 7th October Lawrie and Symington Ltd sold 4738 Lambs and 2691 Cast Ewes through Lanark.

Lambs

The largest show of the year so far of 4738 prime lambs saw a varied trade throughout with the best lambs easily sold but more Suffolk and mule lambs forward being easier. Also, many lambs in the 46-49kg bracket neither export weight or heavy.

The sale topped at £167 per head for Texels from Strawfrank Farm and to 360p/kg for Beltex from Laigh Carnduff Farm.

The 2691 cast ewes and rams were mainly smaller kinds this week with plenty hill sheep on offer. The best end still well sold, plainer, leaner types less money. Big heavy ewes in short supply.

The sale topped at £275 per head for Texels from Greenwalls Farm and to £80 for Blackface from Kindrochet Farm, Shawhead Farm and Auldhouseburn Farm.

COMMISSION RATES
• Commission will be charged on all lots at 10% on FIRST £200 of any lot and 5% thereafter (e.g., Sold at £350 = £20+£7.50=£27.50), capped at £350 per lot. Minimum £5 per lot. • All purchases will be subject to a 3% plus VAT buyer's premium on all lots capped at £350 per item sold by auction or by private treaty.

ENTRY FEES
Tractors, Gators, Quads and Vehicle (To be sold online) £10 + VAT per lot DELIVERY OF ITEMS TO SALE YARD All Farm Machinery and Implements must be delivered to our saleyard by 3 pm on the day before the sale with the exception of Tractors, Vehicles and Quad which may arrive no later than 10.00am on the Thursday. Due to ongoing Health and Safety issues, there will be NO unloading facility available on Sale Day with loading permitted only after the conclusion of the sale.

ONLINE FACILITY
Tractor, Telehandlers, Gators, Quads and Vehicles will also be offered for sale through our online facility alongside the live sale via a drive through, any machine which cannot be driven through will be sold in the line with no online facility.

All items are sold as seen and will be conducted under the Lawrie & Symington and IAAS General Conditions of Sale which are available for inspection at our office.
