Lawrie & Symington sold 1029 store cattle at their fortnightly sale with a busy ringside of buyers present.

Bullocks sold to a top of £2500 for a 496kg Limousin x from A Baillie, Broomfield Lodge, or to 504p/kg for the same beast to level at 402.3p

Heifers peaked at £2290 for a 648kg Limousin x from JA & JHW Smith, Westpark Farm, or to 476p/kg for a 479kg Limousin from A Baillie, Broomfield Lodge to average 390.7p.

Dairy bullocks topped at £1750 for a pen of six Friesians at 483kg from Messrs Beaton, Haggmuir, or to 362.3p for the same pen to average 341p.

As part of today’s sale, L&S were proud to present a tremendous Limousin x bullock from A Baillie, Broomfield Lodge which was sold to £2500 to T & J Clark, Wellhead Farm. This bullock was bred by the Hamilton family at High Crewburn and all proceeds are being donated to Leukaemia Research in memory of our colleague Elizabeth (Liz) Hamilton.

Prior to selling the bullock, an auction of goodwill raised £13,500 with the following customers all bidding £500 each towards the charity:

There will be NO sundry section within the sale and we reserve the right not to accept entries which we feel are unfit for the sale.

COMMISSION RATES
• Commission will be charged on all lots at 10% on FIRST £200 of any lot and 5% thereafter (e.g., Sold at £350 = £20+£7.50=£27.50), capped at £350 per lot. Minimum £5 per lot. • All purchases will be subject to a 3% plus VAT buyer's premium on all lots capped at £350 per item sold by auction or by private treaty.

ENTRY FEES
Tractors, Gators, Quads and Vehicle (To be sold online) £10 + VAT per lot DELIVERY OF ITEMS TO SALE YARD All Farm Machinery and Implements must be delivered to our saleyard by 3 pm on the day before the sale with the exception of Tractors, Vehicles and Quad which may arrive no later than 10.00am on the Thursday. Due to ongoing Health and Safety issues, there will be NO unloading facility available on Sale Day with loading permitted only after the conclusion of the sale.

ONLINE FACILITY
Tractor, Telehandlers, Gators, Quads and Vehicles will also be offered for sale through our online facility alongside the live sale via a drive through, any machine which cannot be driven through will be sold in the line with no online facility.

All items are sold as seen and will be conducted under the Lawrie & Symington and IAAS General Conditions of Sale which are available for inspection at our office.
