Lawrie & Symington Ltd held their final Friday sale of 914 store & breeding sheep.

BREEDING SHEEP:
The 330 in-lamb ewes forward met a full ring of very keen buyers, with a trade the like of which has not been seen before. Many more in-lamb sheep could have been sold to advantage. The main dispersal on behalf of High Parks Farm saw 317 head of 2–4 crop ewes averaging an astonishing £289.37, topping at £320 for a pen of Mule ewes scanned at 200%. DG Farming, Clarencefield, also sold a pen of 3-crop Suffolk cross Hebridean ewes scanned at 150% to Beltex at £320.

The 584 store hoggs forward were a proper tidy-up show, but still sold to recent high rates, topping at £129 for Texels from Low Kittymuir. Blackface hoggs reached £95 from Greyside Farm.
