Bidding was brisk coming from both the live ring and a large number of online buyers via Marteye.

Top price of 3,000gns was achieved for Mr J Douglas, Woodhead of Cairness for their One-Crop Ewe sired by the 75,000gns Cairnton Prince and out of a Middlemuir daughter by the Cairness Dunkirk. She heads back north with M Patterson, Gun Cottage, Banffshire, carrying twins to Cairness Five Star.

This was closely followed by 1,900gns three times. Firstly for J H Christie & Son, Westcarse for his ewe lamb, the first daughter to be offered for sale off the homebred sire, Westcarse Immaculate. Out of a homebred daughter by Cairness Lucky Strike. Staying local, she now joins the Langside flock with Messrs Gray.

First time consigner at Supremes, G Christie from the Balquhain flock received 1,900gns twice for two of his three gimmers entered. First was the Muirton Man of the Moment daughter, and out of a Howgillfoot Sniper sired homebred dam, she sold carrying Twins to the 28,000gns Castleisle Blackadder to Messrs Mitchell, Grassknop, Skelton.

His second at 1,900gns was the Castleisle Comedian daughter, this time out of a Strathisla Stifler homebred dam, said to be carrying single also to Castleisle Blackadder, she travels to Lochgilphead with N McArthur, Highbank Park.

John Christie was back amongst the highlights receiving 1,600gns for his first gimmer entry. A Forkins Firefly daughter, and out of a Ballyboe Boe sired dam, she sold carrying twins to the 3,800gns Harpercroft Goliath to S P Herraty & M MacPhee, Low Ranachan, Campbeltown.
