Annual Show & Sale of Texel Sheep

(On behalf of The Scottish Texel Sheep Breeders Club)

Lawrie and Symington conducted the Annual Show and Sale of Texel Sheep on behalf of The Scottish Texel Sheep Breeders Club when they had forward 186 Rams and Females. At the show prior to the sale, the judge Alan Clark, Garngour Farm awarded the champion to a Ram lamb from the Knap flock of Robert Lockburn, a son of Teiglum Goliath which later went on to be sold for the top price of 3200gns, purchased by Messrs AE Williams & Son Folly Bank Farm, Craven Arms. The reserve champion was consigned by Allan Campbell, Strawfrank with James Dunlop, Eastfield purchasing him for 1000gns.

Lawrie and Symington also conducted the dispersal sale of the Carlinside flock on behalf of Messrs James Currie & Son and the final sale of Gimmers from George & Mary Gibb, Rusha flock.

Both flocks were well bid for resulting in a very strong trade throughout.

Carlinside Flock

Top price from the Carlinside flock was 3800gns for a 1 crop Ewe by Mossknowe Entity with the Teiglum and Allanfauld flocks placing the final bid. This was followed at 2000gns also for a 1 crop Ewe by Charton Elite who will be joining the Garngour flock.

Rusha Flock

Once again, the Rusha flock enjoyed a strong trade with many customers returning to purchase stock. Top price was 1000gns which was recorded twice. The first for a daughter of Scrogtounhead Cokesdozie which was purchased by the Scrogtounhead flock and the second again by the same seller will be joining the Perryflatts flock.

PLEASE NOTE:
There will be NO sundry section within the sale and we reserve the right not to accept entries which we feel are unfit for the sale.

COMMISSION RATES
• Commission will be charged on all lots at 10% on FIRST £200 of any lot and 5% thereafter (e.g., Sold at £350 = £20+£7.50=£27.50), capped at £350 per lot. Minimum £5 per lot. • All purchases will be subject to a 3% plus VAT buyer's premium on all lots capped at £350 per item sold by auction or by private treaty.

ENTRY FEES
Tractors, Gators, Quads and Vehicle (To be sold online) £10 + VAT per lot DELIVERY OF ITEMS TO SALE YARD All Farm Machinery and Implements must be delivered to our saleyard by 3 pm on the day before the sale with the exception of Tractors, Vehicles and Quad which may arrive no later than 10.00am on the Thursday. Due to ongoing Health and Safety issues, there will be NO unloading facility available on Sale Day with loading permitted only after the conclusion of the sale.

ONLINE FACILITY
Tractor, Telehandlers, Gators, Quads and Vehicles will also be offered for sale through our online facility alongside the live sale via a drive through, any machine which cannot be driven through will be sold in the line with no online facility.

All items are sold as seen and will be conducted under the Lawrie & Symington and IAAS General Conditions of Sale which are available for inspection at our office.
