Lawrie and Symington Ltd held their Final Fling Sale of 578 Rams and Ram Lambs of all classes with trade excellent throughout.

Ring Number 1 had forward a catalogued entry of 240 Blackface, Cheviot and Bluefaced Leicesters Rams with all classes reaching a fast selling trade.

Blackface Rams saw quality Rams sell well beyond vendors pre-sale expectations selling to a top of £2600 for a much fancied son of 160k Dyke from Messrs HA Blackwood, Auldhouseburn Farm, Muirkirk with shearlings up to £1700 for a strong ram from Messrs Renwick, Williamhope, Galashiels.

Cheviot Rams again met a huge enquiry, with many men going home without a tup. Cheviots sold to a top of £600 for a South Country Cheviot 2 Shear from Messrs Weir, Mainside Farm, Kelso.

Bluefaced Leicesters met massive demand with many bulk purchasers in attendance with the trade described as one of the dearest ever seen to a top of £950 for Shearlings from Messrs RJ Fallows & Sons, Cockrig Farm, Lanark and £680 for Lambs from Messrs J Bell, Birniehall, Carluke.

BFL – £950 Cockrig, £900 Sweetshawhead, £900 & £850 Kirkton of Crawford, £850, £820 & £800 Hartside, £780 Kirkton of Crawford, £750 Leadburn

BF – £1700 & £1100 Williamhope, £550 Parkhall, £520 Challochglass & Williamhope, £500 Corsebank & Borthwickshiels

Ram Lambs:

BFL – £680 Birniehall, £580 & £550 Cockrig, £500 Birnirhall, Broomie Bank (Twice) & East Nethershields

BF – £2600 Auldhouseburn, £1800 Orchilmore, £1600 Auldhouseburn, £650 Orchilmore, £500 Parkhall

Aged Ewes:

BFL – £600 & £400 Midlock

The 338 Texels, Suffolk, Beltex and Crossbred Rams sold in Ring Number 2 realized a flying trade from start to finish well above sellers expectations.

The sale topped at £1100 for an outstanding Texel Shearling from Messrs W & J Boyd, Dechmont Farm, Cambuslang selling to Allanton Farming.

The Texel trade was on fire from start to finish only getting dearer as the sale went on.

A shortage of Suffolk Rams ensured a banaza trade for thise who made the effore to get them here topping at £1000 from Messrs Gimour, Broomknowes Farm, Maybole selling to Messrs Brown, Clachaig Farm, Arran.

Beltex and Crossbreds sold easily also topping at £750 From Messrs Thom, Corrielea, Lockerbie.

PLEASE NOTE:
There will be NO sundry section within the sale and we reserve the right not to accept entries which we feel are unfit for the sale.

COMMISSION RATES
• Commission will be charged on all lots at 10% on FIRST £200 of any lot and 5% thereafter (e.g., Sold at £350 = £20+£7.50=£27.50), capped at £350 per lot. Minimum £5 per lot. • All purchases will be subject to a 3% plus VAT buyer's premium on all lots capped at £350 per item sold by auction or by private treaty.

ENTRY FEES
Tractors, Gators, Quads and Vehicle (To be sold online) £10 + VAT per lot DELIVERY OF ITEMS TO SALE YARD All Farm Machinery and Implements must be delivered to our saleyard by 3 pm on the day before the sale with the exception of Tractors, Vehicles and Quad which may arrive no later than 10.00am on the Thursday. Due to ongoing Health and Safety issues, there will be NO unloading facility available on Sale Day with loading permitted only after the conclusion of the sale.

ONLINE FACILITY
Tractor, Telehandlers, Gators, Quads and Vehicles will also be offered for sale through our online facility alongside the live sale via a drive through, any machine which cannot be driven through will be sold in the line with no online facility.

All items are sold as seen and will be conducted under the Lawrie & Symington and IAAS General Conditions of Sale which are available for inspection at our office.
