On Monday 9th June Lawrie and Symington Ltd had forward 164 cattle comprising of 30 bullocks and heifers, 50 cast cows and 84 calves and stirks.

Limousin heifers sold to £2923 from Brockwoodlees Farm, Canonbie to H Black Butchers, Lanark or to 445p/kg from Brockwoodlees Farm, Canonbie to Mitchell Butchers, Glenrothes.

Limousin bullocks sold to £2730 from Walkerdyke Farm, Strathaven to Chapman Butchers, Wishaw or to 415p/kg from the same home to Chapman Butchers, Wishaw.

Beef cows sold to £2440 per head from West Glespin Farm, Lanark or to 348p/kg from Cardon Farm, Biggar.

Dairy cows sold to £1810 per head from Kirkland Farm, Dunsyre or to 254p/kg from the same home.

On milk calves topped at £560 twice for a Simmental Cross bull calf from Taylor, Heatheryhall and again for a British Blue Cross from Stewart, Marshill.

On Monday 26th May Lawrie and Symington Ltd sold 281 Lambs, 884 Hoggs and 704 Cast Ewes through Lanark.

Lambs

Another good quality show of 281 new season lambs saw trade firmer again as more farms moved over to them. Many more required each week to fill demand.

The sale topped at £197 per head for Texels from Griffies, Black Barn Farm and to 426p/kg for Beltex from Bertram, Mid Hartwood Farm.

There will be NO sundry section within the sale and we reserve the right not to accept entries which we feel are unfit for the sale.

COMMISSION RATES
• Commission will be charged on all lots at 10% on FIRST £200 of any lot and 5% thereafter (e.g., Sold at £350 = £20+£7.50=£27.50), capped at £350 per lot. Minimum £5 per lot. • All purchases will be subject to a 3% plus VAT buyer's premium on all lots capped at £350 per item sold by auction or by private treaty.

ENTRY FEES
Tractors, Gators, Quads and Vehicle (To be sold online) £10 + VAT per lot DELIVERY OF ITEMS TO SALE YARD All Farm Machinery and Implements must be delivered to our saleyard by 3 pm on the day before the sale with the exception of Tractors, Vehicles and Quad which may arrive no later than 10.00am on the Thursday. Due to ongoing Health and Safety issues, there will be NO unloading facility available on Sale Day with loading permitted only after the conclusion of the sale.

ONLINE FACILITY
Tractor, Telehandlers, Gators, Quads and Vehicles will also be offered for sale through our online facility alongside the live sale via a drive through, any machine which cannot be driven through will be sold in the line with no online facility.

All items are sold as seen and will be conducted under the Lawrie & Symington and IAAS General Conditions of Sale which are available for inspection at our office.
