Lawrie and Symington Ltd held their opening show and sale of 2637 store lambs which averaged at £83.74 saw an excellent show for quality and flesh on offer with the strong lambs very dear and longer keep lambs similar on year. The show was ably judged by Mr T Clark, Wellheads who awarded the champion to a pen of Beltex X from annual consigner Mr D MacDonald, Taldale, Caithness which went on to realize £122 selling to the judge. Second place went to a pen of Beltex from Messrs Steel, Cumberhead which went on to realize £109 selling to judge Mr Clark. Third place went to a pen of Blue Texels from Messrs Wallace, Hartsop which went on to realize £112 selling to the judge.
