Lawrie and Symington Ltd had forward 110 cattle comprising of 40 bullocks and heifers, 70 cast cows and 62 calves and stirks.

Limousin heifers sold to £2923 from Brockwoodlees Farm, Canonbie to Black Butchers, Lanark or to 458p/pk from Brockwoodlees Farm, Canonbie to Collins Butchers, Muirhead

Limousin bullocks sold to £2456 from Balquharrage Farm, Lennoxtown to MJ Stark, Paisley or to 428p/pk from Balquharrage Farm, Lennoxtown to MJ Stark, Paisley.

Beef cows sold to £2640 per head from Corsebank Farm, Sanquhar or to 334p/pk from Corsebank Farm, Sanquhar.

Calves and Stirks

62 calves, on and off milk were sold at our fortnightly sale. Topping the sale was a four month old Aberdeen Angus x bull calf from Fleming, Craigthorn Farm reaching £930.

On milk calves saw a rise in the week with £610 being achieved twice by two British Blue x heifer calves from Warnock, Eastfield of Coulter Farm.

The next sale is 22nd September.

Dairy Cattle Sale

Lawrie & Symington Ltd held their first of the new monthly Dairy Dales and what a start it was!

An excellent show for quality with a packed ringside of buyers saw a sale top of £3100 for an outstanding Heifer from Laird Farming Co, Blyth Farm. Hot on her heels was a classy Heifer at £3050 from Messrs J Rutherford, Loanfoot.

Sheep Primestock Report

On Monday 8th September Lawrie and Symington Ltd sold 3022 Lambs and 2058 Cast Ewes through Lanark.

Lambs

A larger show of 3022 prime lambs were forward and trade on par with the end of the week. Best fleshed and shapey lambs easiest sold. Heavy still coming to pounds per head. Still some leaner sorts best sold store.

The sale topped at £200 per head for Texels from Clark, North Garngour Farm and to 388p/kg for Beltex from Cochrane, Richardton Farm.

There will be NO sundry section within the sale and we reserve the right not to accept entries which we feel are unfit for the sale.

COMMISSION RATES
• Commission will be charged on all lots at 10% on FIRST £200 of any lot and 5% thereafter (e.g., Sold at £350 = £20+£7.50=£27.50), capped at £350 per lot. Minimum £5 per lot. • All purchases will be subject to a 3% plus VAT buyer's premium on all lots capped at £350 per item sold by auction or by private treaty.

ENTRY FEES
Tractors, Gators, Quads and Vehicle (To be sold online) £10 + VAT per lot DELIVERY OF ITEMS TO SALE YARD All Farm Machinery and Implements must be delivered to our saleyard by 3 pm on the day before the sale with the exception of Tractors, Vehicles and Quad which may arrive no later than 10.00am on the Thursday. Due to ongoing Health and Safety issues, there will be NO unloading facility available on Sale Day with loading permitted only after the conclusion of the sale.

ONLINE FACILITY
Tractor, Telehandlers, Gators, Quads and Vehicles will also be offered for sale through our online facility alongside the live sale via a drive through, any machine which cannot be driven through will be sold in the line with no online facility.

All items are sold as seen and will be conducted under the Lawrie & Symington and IAAS General Conditions of Sale which are available for inspection at our office.
