2,307 sheep sold comprising 971 prime lambs and 1336 cast ewes & tups.
Another good show of 971 lambs saw the lighter end under 41kg harder to sell with 42-46kg being the easiest sold. Heavy Lambs still coming to pounds per head with best lambs keenly sought after. The seasonal shift in trade has begun. The Sale topped at £107 per head for Texels from Struthers, Collielaw and to 247p per kg fr Beltex from Frame Haspielaw. Overall average 188.3p per kg (SQQ 190p per kg).

Best selling lean ewes and Blackface ewes still in demand although the fat ewes especially mules are harder to cash.
