Calves
A smaller show of calves were forward to the fortnightly sale, young calves much dearer on the fortnight and many more could have been sold to vendors advantage . Topping the sale was a Limousin heifer from Messrs Newlands, Archlands Farm, which realised £310.

Prime Hoggs & Cast Sheep
The sale topped at £118 per head for Texels from R & M Struthers, Collielaw Farm, and to 274p/Kg for Beltex from the same home. Overall Average 188p/Kg (SQQ 200p/kg).
Hoggs
A larger show of hoggs saw a much bigger show of heavy hoggs forward, being slightly easier on the week. Export and light hoggs maintained recent rates and short of requirements.
