Lawrie and Symington Ltd held their Annual Final Fling Sale with a catalogued entry of 750 Rams and Ram Lambs. Trade was brisk from start to finish with a clearance rate of 92%
Ring 1 had forward a catalogued entry of 303 Blackface, Cheviot and Blueface Leister Rams.
Blackface saw strong quality rams sell very well, exceeding all expectations with shearlings selling to a top of £1500 for a son of £30,000 Elmscleugh from Ramsey, Milnmark Farm to Leuscher, Megdale Farm.
A select entry of lambs sold to a top of £1000 for a son of £82,000 Longhash from Muirhead, Orchilmore Farm to Westerhall Farms.
A much-increased entry of Cheviots seen stronger tups forward, topping at £550 from Tennant, Gilmanscleugh Farm to Robertson, Craigdarroch Farm.
Blueface Leister met an animated demand with all fancied rams meeting 4 figures to a top of £1300 from Henderson, Sweetshawhead Farm to Telfer, Glendouran Farm

Ring 2 saw a catalogued entry of 486 Suffolk, Beltex, Beltex x, Continentals and Texel rams and ram lambs forward.
The best lots on offer met extreme rates with Texel ram lambs in strong demand as well as the best shearlings.
The sale topped at £1400 for a Texel shearling from Boyd, Dechmont Farm selling to Parkhouse Farmers, Parkhouse. Texel ram lambs to £800 from Cockburn, Hill Cottage selling to Mr Simpson, Kirkhouse Farm.
Suffolk shearlings topped at £1100 from Eastmains Farming, Eastmains selling to Mr Mackellar, Auchtenny Farm.
Beltex shearlings topped at £800 from Baillie, Carstairs Mains, going home to Otter Estate, Fearnoch Farm.
Texel x Beltex shearlings to £850 from Hammond, Auchenbart Farm going to Macrea, Kildavaig Farm. Blue Texel shearlings also to £850 from Jamieson, Sauchenhall Farm to Stoddart, Auchencorth Farm.
