On Monday 28^th October Lawrie and Symington Ltd had forward 181 cattle comprising of 40 bullocks ad heifers, 85 cast cows and 56 calves and stirks.

Limousin heifers sold to 360p/pk from Brockwoodlees Farm to Black Butchers, Lanark or to £2276 from the same home to Chapman Butchers, Wishaw.

Beef cows sold to £1940 per head from South Mains Farm or to 230p/pk from Buteland Farm.

Dairy cows sold to £1540 per head from Ormiston Mains Farm or to 173p/pk from the same home.

Cast bulls sold to £1910 per head from Mid Hartwood Farm or to 199p/pk from the same home.

On Monday Lawrie and Symington Ltd held their fortnightly calf and stirk sale with 56 forward. Topping the sale was an exceptional 6 month old Simmental x bull calf from Littlegill Farm, realising £910. On milk calves peaked at £340 three times from Broadfield Farming and University of Edinburgh (Langhill Dairy) with their British Blue x Calves.

Off milk calves realised a top of £640 for an Aberdeen Angus x Bullock from Heatheryhall Farm.

On Monday 28^th October Lawrie and Symington Ltd sold 4088 Lambs and 2310 Cast Ewes through Lanark.

Lambs

The 4088 prime lambs were an excellent show for flesh and quality. It was clear that export weight lambs were in greater demand and lambs over the 50kg best per head.

The sale topped at £161 per head from Beltex from Cumberhead Farm and to 342p/kg for Beltex from the same home.

Another large show of 2310 cast ewes and rams saw trade a lot sharper on the week as demand increases. A lot more smaller hill type ewes forward today, many more stronger heavier ewes required.

The sale topped at £238 per head for Texels from Westwoodlane Farm and Yeldabrek Farm and to £91 for Blackface from Dreva Farm.

COMMISSION RATES
• Commission will be charged on all lots at 10% on FIRST £200 of any lot and 5% thereafter (e.g., Sold at £350 = £20+£7.50=£27.50), capped at £350 per lot. Minimum £5 per lot. • All purchases will be subject to a 3% plus VAT buyer's premium on all lots capped at £350 per item sold by auction or by private treaty.

ENTRY FEES
Tractors, Gators, Quads and Vehicle (To be sold online) £10 + VAT per lot DELIVERY OF ITEMS TO SALE YARD All Farm Machinery and Implements must be delivered to our saleyard by 3 pm on the day before the sale with the exception of Tractors, Vehicles and Quad which may arrive no later than 10.00am on the Thursday. Due to ongoing Health and Safety issues, there will be NO unloading facility available on Sale Day with loading permitted only after the conclusion of the sale.

ONLINE FACILITY
Tractor, Telehandlers, Gators, Quads and Vehicles will also be offered for sale through our online facility alongside the live sale via a drive through, any machine which cannot be driven through will be sold in the line with no online facility.

All items are sold as seen and will be conducted under the Lawrie & Symington and IAAS General Conditions of Sale which are available for inspection at our office.
