On Monday 3rd April 2023 Lawrie and Symington Ltd had forward 67 cattle comprising of 35 bullocks and heifers, 32 cast cow.

20 heifers sold to 340p/pk from Messrs Dickenson, Brockwoodlees Farm, Canonbie to Hugh Black and Sons or to £2184 from Messrs Dickenson, Brockwoodlees Farm, Canonbie to Hugh Black and Sons.

12 bullocks sold to 326p/pk from Messrs Dickenson, Brockwoodlees Farm, Canonbie to W Stark or to £2098 from Messrs Barrie, Howburn Farm, Biggar to W Stark.

3 young bulls to 302p from Messrs Campbell, Strawfrank Farm, Lanark to W Stark or to £2014 from Mesrrs Campbell, Strawfrank Farm, Lanark to W Stark.

Beef cows sold to £2610 per head from Messrs Cruickshank, Little Kype Farm, Strathaven or to 302p/pk from Messrs Cruickshank, Little Kype Farm, Strathaven.

On Monday the 03/04/23 Lawrie and Symington Ltd sold 3357 Hoggs and 878 Cast Ewes through Lanark.

Hoggs

The 3357 hoggs were a smaller show for numbers but met an extremely good trade. The best Texel hoggs regularly between 280 – 300 pp/kg. Many more could be sold to advantage.

The sale topped at £167 per head for Beltex from Messrs Wight, Townfoot and to 338p/kg for a pen of Beltex from Messrs Struthers, Collielaw.

There will be NO sundry section within the sale and we reserve the right not to accept entries which we feel are unfit for the sale.

COMMISSION RATES
• Commission will be charged on all lots at 10% on FIRST £200 of any lot and 5% thereafter (e.g., Sold at £350 = £20+£7.50=£27.50), capped at £350 per lot. Minimum £5 per lot. • All purchases will be subject to a 3% plus VAT buyer's premium on all lots capped at £350 per item sold by auction or by private treaty.

ENTRY FEES
Tractors, Gators, Quads and Vehicle (To be sold online) £10 + VAT per lot DELIVERY OF ITEMS TO SALE YARD All Farm Machinery and Implements must be delivered to our saleyard by 3 pm on the day before the sale with the exception of Tractors, Vehicles and Quad which may arrive no later than 10.00am on the Thursday. Due to ongoing Health and Safety issues, there will be NO unloading facility available on Sale Day with loading permitted only after the conclusion of the sale.

ONLINE FACILITY
Tractor, Telehandlers, Gators, Quads and Vehicles will also be offered for sale through our online facility alongside the live sale via a drive through, any machine which cannot be driven through will be sold in the line with no online facility.

All items are sold as seen and will be conducted under the Lawrie & Symington and IAAS General Conditions of Sale which are available for inspection at our office.
