Heifers sold to 280p per kilo twice from Messrs Dickinson, Brockwoodlees Farm, Canonbie to H Black Butchers, Lanark and A Mitchell Butchers, Glenrothes or to £1795 per head from the same home to S Collins Butchers, Muirhead.
Bullocks sold to 262p per kilo twice from Messrs Gray, Balquharrage Farm, Lennoxtown to W Stark, Twechar and from Messrs Struthers, Collielaw Farm, Carluke to H Black Butchers, Lanark or to £1765 per head from Messrs Dickinson, Brockwoodlees Farm, Canonbie.

80 calves & stirks were forward to the fortnightly sale, with trade easier on the week, in line with other centres. Stirks topped at £470 for a pen of three Aberdeen Angus bulls from Garelwood. Beef bull calves peaked at £375 for a British Blue from Loanfoot. Beef Heifers topped at £345 on two occasions. Firstly for a British Blue from Loanfoot, and then for a Simmental from Gartclush. Dairy bulls topped at £120 for a Holstein from Plean.

Lambs
Another good show of 3743 prime lambs were forward with trade again similar. Overall quality not as good as previous weeks but trade remained the same.
The sale topped at £156 per head for Texels from Messrs Scott, Muirhead and to 336p/kg for Beltex from Downie Farming, Newton of Crathie.
