60 exceptional calves forward for Todays sale – a credit to all vendors. Topping the sale was a tremendous Limousin cross bull calf from Hall, Waterside Farm, achieving £1700.

On milk calves topped at £600 twice for two Hereford cross bull calves from Adamson, Swaites Farm.

There was 5 Lambs, 2428 Hoggs, 42 store hoggs and 931 Cast Ewes sold through Lanark.

Lambs

Lambs now required on a weekly basis for butcher trade. Today’s small offering were 47kg with more now required.

The sale topped at £200 per head for Suffolks from Watson, Westtown Farm and to 426p from the same home.

Hoggs

The 2428 hoggs were a mixed show for quality with the best well fleshed types easily sold at 400-430ppk. Fanciest kinds were very dear with heavy weight well fleshed hoggs realizing £200+ regularly. Good Blackface hoggs towards £4 per kilo mark but 45-48kg making no more than that of 42-44kg.

The sale topped at £226 per head for Texels from Clark, Blackhill Farm and to 474p/kg for Beltexs from Baillie, Broomfield Lodge Farm.

Cast Ewes & Rams

A smaller show of 931 cast ewes were mainly lighter blackface and cheviot ewes with big ewes short of requirement. All classes met a very dear selling rate and more could be sold to vendors advantage.

The sale topped at £395 per head for Texels from Minto, Townhead Farm and to £170 for Blackface from Kirkland Farming, Sanquhar.

There will be NO sundry section within the sale and we reserve the right not to accept entries which we feel are unfit for the sale.

COMMISSION RATES
• Commission will be charged on all lots at 10% on FIRST £200 of any lot and 5% thereafter (e.g., Sold at £350 = £20+£7.50=£27.50), capped at £350 per lot. Minimum £5 per lot. • All purchases will be subject to a 3% plus VAT buyer's premium on all lots capped at £350 per item sold by auction or by private treaty.

ENTRY FEES
Tractors, Gators, Quads and Vehicle (To be sold online) £10 + VAT per lot DELIVERY OF ITEMS TO SALE YARD All Farm Machinery and Implements must be delivered to our saleyard by 3 pm on the day before the sale with the exception of Tractors, Vehicles and Quad which may arrive no later than 10.00am on the Thursday. Due to ongoing Health and Safety issues, there will be NO unloading facility available on Sale Day with loading permitted only after the conclusion of the sale.

ONLINE FACILITY
Tractor, Telehandlers, Gators, Quads and Vehicles will also be offered for sale through our online facility alongside the live sale via a drive through, any machine which cannot be driven through will be sold in the line with no online facility.

All items are sold as seen and will be conducted under the Lawrie & Symington and IAAS General Conditions of Sale which are available for inspection at our office.
