Cattle Primestock Report

Lawrie and Symington Ltd had forward 157 cattle comprising of 55 bullock and heifers, 60 cast cows and 42 calves and stirks.

Calves and Stirks

Our fortnightly calf and stirk sale had forward 42 calves for the first sale in March, with no shortage of quality. Topping the sale was an exceptional Limousin cross heifer calf from Pirie, Machrihanish Farm reaching £1120. On milk calves peaked at £640 for a Limousin cross bull calf from Blackwood, Ladehead farm.

There were 2737 Hoggs 799 Cast Ewes and 99 Store Hoggs sold through Lanark.

Hoggs

A smaller show of 2737 Prime hoggs were a heavier selection with plenty well finished sheep on offer. Export and lighter weights well short of requirement and easily sold.

The sale topped at £204 per head for Beltex from Goodfellow, Townfoot, and to 458p/kg for Beltex from Ingraston Farm.

There will be NO sundry section within the sale and we reserve the right not to accept entries which we feel are unfit for the sale.

COMMISSION RATES
• Commission will be charged on all lots at 10% on FIRST £200 of any lot and 5% thereafter (e.g., Sold at £350 = £20+£7.50=£27.50), capped at £350 per lot. Minimum £5 per lot. • All purchases will be subject to a 3% plus VAT buyer's premium on all lots capped at £350 per item sold by auction or by private treaty.

ENTRY FEES
Tractors, Gators, Quads and Vehicle (To be sold online) £10 + VAT per lot DELIVERY OF ITEMS TO SALE YARD All Farm Machinery and Implements must be delivered to our saleyard by 3 pm on the day before the sale with the exception of Tractors, Vehicles and Quad which may arrive no later than 10.00am on the Thursday. Due to ongoing Health and Safety issues, there will be NO unloading facility available on Sale Day with loading permitted only after the conclusion of the sale.

ONLINE FACILITY
Tractor, Telehandlers, Gators, Quads and Vehicles will also be offered for sale through our online facility alongside the live sale via a drive through, any machine which cannot be driven through will be sold in the line with no online facility.

All items are sold as seen and will be conducted under the Lawrie & Symington and IAAS General Conditions of Sale which are available for inspection at our office.
