On Monday 31st March Lawrie and Symington Ltd had forward 100 cattle comprising of 48 bullock and heifers, 52 cast cows and 53 calves and stirks.
Limousin heifers sold to 455p/kg twice from Brockwoodlees Farm, Canonbie to MJ Stark, Paisley and Balquharrage Farm, Lennoxton to Faulds Butchers, Kilmarnock or to £2972 from Brockwoodlees Farm, Canonbie to H Black Butchers, Lanark.
Limousin bullocks sold to 435p/kg from Walkerdyke Farm, Strathaven to Chapman Butchers, Wishaw or to £3151 from Brownsbank Farm, Biggar to Telinco Farms Ltd, Lockerbie.
Beef cows sold to £2840 per head from Yondercroft Farm, Darvel or to 328p/kg from Overton Farm, Crossford.
Dairy cows sold to £1890 per head from Over Dalserf Farm, Ashgill or to 257p/kg from the same home.
Young bulls sold to £2982 per head from Birkenhead Farm, Lesmahagow or to 385p/kg from East Merkland Farm, Strathaven.

Taking top spot was a Limousin x Heifer calf from Steele, Cumberhead reaching £910.
On milk calves topped at £790 for a Limousin x bull calf from Morton, Hayston.

On Monday 31st March Lawrie and Symington Ltd sold 2258 Hoggs, 274 Store Hoggs and 753 Cast Ewes through Lanark.
Hoggs
A smaller show of 2258 prime hoggs were forward with trade similar on the week and still very much two-tier with the export and lights easily sold and heavies still around the £3 mark.
The sale topped at £190 per head for Charollais x from Wight, Townfoot and to 404p/pk for Texels from Struthers, Collielaw.
