Lawrie & Symington had forward 924 store cattle forward to their April show & sale.
The show was ably judged by Mr Andrew Ireland, Feoch who picked both his champion & reserve champion from Blair & Shona Comrie, Stonebyres Mains. The champion scaled 504kg and sold at £2480 with the reserve champion weighing 498kg and selling to £2360. Our thanks must be extended to the judge and to our sponsors for the day – Clyde Vet Group.
Out with the show, bullocks sold to a top of £2700 for a 576kg Limousin from Carmichael Estate, or to 521p for a pen of four Limousin x at 317kg from Messrs Goldie, Craighead to average 450.3p.
Heifers peaked at £2820 for a Charolais x weighing 704kg from Messrs Noble, Lochurd or to 544.4p for a 360kg Charolais from Messrs Warnock, Dreva to level at 418p.
Dairy bullocks topped at £2220 for a 570kg British Friesian from Messrs Meikle, East Bangour or to 414.6p for a pen at 410kg from the same home.
