There was 5935 Hoggs, 170 Store Hoggs and 2347 Cast Ewes sold through Lanark.

Hoggs

A near record show if 5935 prime hoggs met one of the best trades seen in many years with all classes in demand. Strange to say but even more could have been sold to advantage. A large show of lighter weight hoggs heavily sought after as not many in other centres.

The sale topped at £230 per head for Texels from Struthers, Collielaw Farm and to 511p/kg for Beltex from the same home.

The 170 store hoggs were a mixed show and easily sold to a top of £140 for Texels from Longformacus Farms. Blackface to £120 from Bradbury, Haliburton Farm. Shetlands to £106 from Gilfillan Bros, Kirkigarth Farm.

Another large show of 2347 cast ewes and rams were forward with all classes in strong demand. A lot of smaller and leaner hill type ewes were forward but sold at high rates. Best biggest ewes short of requirements.

The sale topped at £385 per head for Suffolk x tup from Lammie, Longhouse Farm and to £158 for Blackface from Auldhouseburn Farms.

There will be NO sundry section within the sale and we reserve the right not to accept entries which we feel are unfit for the sale.

COMMISSION RATES
• Commission will be charged on all lots at 10% on FIRST £200 of any lot and 5% thereafter (e.g., Sold at £350 = £20+£7.50=£27.50), capped at £350 per lot. Minimum £5 per lot. • All purchases will be subject to a 3% plus VAT buyer's premium on all lots capped at £350 per item sold by auction or by private treaty.

ENTRY FEES
Tractors, Gators, Quads and Vehicle (To be sold online) £10 + VAT per lot DELIVERY OF ITEMS TO SALE YARD All Farm Machinery and Implements must be delivered to our saleyard by 3 pm on the day before the sale with the exception of Tractors, Vehicles and Quad which may arrive no later than 10.00am on the Thursday. Due to ongoing Health and Safety issues, there will be NO unloading facility available on Sale Day with loading permitted only after the conclusion of the sale.

ONLINE FACILITY
Tractor, Telehandlers, Gators, Quads and Vehicles will also be offered for sale through our online facility alongside the live sale via a drive through, any machine which cannot be driven through will be sold in the line with no online facility.

All items are sold as seen and will be conducted under the Lawrie & Symington and IAAS General Conditions of Sale which are available for inspection at our office.
