Lawrie and Symington Ltd had forward 107 cattle comprising of 28 bullock and heifers, 52 cast cows and 27 calves.

Calves and Stirks

A smaller show of calves with no let up on trade. The sale was topped by a pair of Limousin cross bull calves from Messrs Steel, Over Kypeside Farm achieving £980 each. On milk calves topped at £560 for a 15-day old Angus bull calf from Messrs Warnock, Eastfield Farm.

There was 4050 Hoggs, 186 Store Hoggs and 1151 Cast Ewes sold through Lanark.

Hoggs

Another good show of 4050 prime hoggs met the most animated trade seen for some time with all classes realizing a fantastic trade. Many more could be sold to advantage.

The sale topped at £250 per head for both a Texel and Suffolk from Campbell, Overburns Farm and to 546p/kg for Beltex from Fox, St Johns Kirk Farm

The 186 store hoggs were a mixed show for quality, selling to £158 for Texels from Ballantyne, East Cauldcoats Farm. Blackface to £120 from Robertson, Craigdarroch Farm.

Cast Ewes & Rams

A smaller show of 1151 cast ewes and rams were a mixed show for quality and an unbelievable trade in all classes leaving men short of requirements. The sale topped at £400 per head for Texels from Kennedy, Mitchellhill farm and to £162 for Blackface from Auldhouseburn Farm.

70 motherless lambs were forward for our first sale of the year. A fiery trade throughout due to the recent climate. The sale was topped by two Suffolk tup lambs from Orr, Hillhead Farm, achieving £82 each.

There will be NO sundry section within the sale and we reserve the right not to accept entries which we feel are unfit for the sale.

COMMISSION RATES
• Commission will be charged on all lots at 10% on FIRST £200 of any lot and 5% thereafter (e.g., Sold at £350 = £20+£7.50=£27.50), capped at £350 per lot. Minimum £5 per lot. • All purchases will be subject to a 3% plus VAT buyer's premium on all lots capped at £350 per item sold by auction or by private treaty.

ENTRY FEES
Tractors, Gators, Quads and Vehicle (To be sold online) £10 + VAT per lot DELIVERY OF ITEMS TO SALE YARD All Farm Machinery and Implements must be delivered to our saleyard by 3 pm on the day before the sale with the exception of Tractors, Vehicles and Quad which may arrive no later than 10.00am on the Thursday. Due to ongoing Health and Safety issues, there will be NO unloading facility available on Sale Day with loading permitted only after the conclusion of the sale.

ONLINE FACILITY
Tractor, Telehandlers, Gators, Quads and Vehicles will also be offered for sale through our online facility alongside the live sale via a drive through, any machine which cannot be driven through will be sold in the line with no online facility.

All items are sold as seen and will be conducted under the Lawrie & Symington and IAAS General Conditions of Sale which are available for inspection at our office.
