SALE OF FEMALES WITH LAMBS AT FOOT
Lawrie and Symington had forward a catalogued entry of 2103 lives at their weekly sale of Ewes and Gimmers with lambs and the show and sale of Hoggs and lambs. A tremendous entry of ewes and lambs met a huge interest for the strong outfits.
Topping at £158 a life for strong Texel x Ewes from Messrs Noble, Lochurd Farm. Gimmers with lambs seen a huge interest with men keen to invest into the best quality outfits. Topping at £180 a life, again from Lochurd Farm. An excellent show of Hoggs and lambs saw quality in abundance with men again willing to bid hard for the best quality outfits. Topping at £202 a life on two occasions. First for an outstanding pen of Suffolk x Texel Hoggs with Beltex from Messrs Laird, Carbello & Sunnyside, secondly for the Champion pen from the same home.
