Lawrie and Symington Ltd held their annual sale of 3695 Blackface ewe lambs which saw a fast-selling trade throughout and the top draws taking a massive leap on the year. The overall average was £120.63 up some £16 on year. The sale topped at £300 for a pen from Morrison, Dalwyne Farm, followed at £280 from Hamilton, Woolfords and £250 from Baillie, Calla Farm both for Perth types. Lanark types sold to £202 from McClymont, Tinnis Farm and £200 from Smith, Wester Crosswoodhill Farm and Morrison, Dalwyne Farm.
