Lawrie and Symington held its Annual show & Sale of Blackface Wedder lambs in conjunction with Livestock Marketing (borders) Ltd sold 5015 to average £70.14 (A rise of £10.17) lambs were shown in excellent bloom to a large ringside of local & distant buyers.
The sale of Blackface Wedder lamb was topped for a pen from Miss H M Fleming, Cronberry at £90.
At the show, kindly sponsored by the Blackface Sheep Breeders Association and Clark & Weir, judged by Mr Gordon Taylor, Aberchirder.

The 1306 Cheviot and other breed store lambs met a fantastic trade topping at £93 for Texels from Messrs Brown, Chesterhall.
The Cheviot show was ably judged by Messrs Taylor, Aberdeen who awarded the Championship and Wellhead Trophy to regular consignor Messrs menzies, Chanlockfoot which went on to realise £84.50 to Messrs Taylor, Heatheryhall.
