On Monday 8th January 2024 Lawrie and Symington Ltd had forward 143 cattle comprising of 28 bullocks and heifers, 45 cast cows and 70 calves and stirks.

Hoggs
The busiest ring of prime sheep byers in Scotland (10) saw a similar show of hoggs with trade in line with end of week. Heavy hoggs short of requirements, more light hoggs forward and easy to sell. More required each week.
The sale topped at £167 per head for Suffolk x from Messrs T & R Harper, Southmains Farm, Biggar and to 320p/kg for Beltex from Messrs A Taylor, Heatheryhall Farm, Lanark and Texels from Messrs R & M Struthers, Collielaw Farm, Carluke.
